Catalog/Provisioning

The Catalog screen provides a list of available database technologies and deployment options. Users can review details and submit requests for the database type that fits their requirements.

Purpose

The Catalog serves as a self-service library of certified database offerings (Neo4j, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Percona). Each card displays edition, description, and deployment suitability.

Catalog Card

Each database option is displayed as a card with:

  • Name & Edition: Database type and edition (e.g., Standalone Neo4J – Enterprise Edition).
  • Description: Key features, usage scenarios, and limitations.
  • Request Button: Submits a request to provision the selected database.

Database Option

Neo4j (Enterprise Edition)
  • Standalone Neo4J: Secure, trusted graph database for smaller or dedicated deployments.
  • Cluster Neo4J: Scalable and globally deployed graph database for high availability and resilience.
PostgreSQL (Community Edition)
  • Standalone PostgreSQL: Open-source relational DB supporting SQL and JSON.
  • Replication PostgreSQL: Advanced setup with replication for higher reliability.
MongoDB (Enterprise & Percona Editions)
  • Enterprise Standalone MongoDB: For testing & development only; not production-ready (no replication/high availability).
  • Enterprise Replica Set MongoDB: Recommended for production; supports redundancy and high availability.
  • Percona Standalone MongoDB: Percona flavor, testing & development only.
  • Percona Replica Set MongoDB: Percona flavor with redundancy & HA, suitable for production.
