Application
Add New Organization
Administrators can create new organizational units to group databases based on common attributes or operational needs. Each organization is assigned a name and status (active or inactive), allowing administrators to organize databases efficiently and streamline management processes.
Steps:
- Navigate to the "Setup" tab.
- Select the "Organization" option.
- Click the "Create New Organization" button.
- Enter the following information:
- Organization: Select the organization under which this application belongs.
- App Code: Enter the unique identifier or short code for the application.
- App Name: Provide the full name of the application.
- App Owner: Enter the name of the technical owner responsible for the application.
- Business Owner: Enter the business stakeholder who oversees the application’s business use.
- App Class: Choose the application class.
- Cost Center: Specify the cost center funding or linked to this application.
- Location : Enter the physical or hosting location (e.g., Data Center, Cloud, Region).
- Department: Indicate the department that primarily uses or manages the application.
- Line of Business: Provide the line of business the application supports (e.g., Sales, Finance, IT).
- Lifecycle Status: Select the current stage of the application.
- Installed On: Enter the installation date (use the calendar picker).
- Go Live On: Enter the official go-live date when the application became active (use the calendar picker).
- Decomm On: Enter the planned or actual decommission date (use the calendar picker), if applicable.
- Click the "Create" button.
Edit Organization
Existing organizations can be edited to update details such as the organization name or status. This flexibility ensures that organizational structures remain current and reflective of organizational changes or strategic realignments.
Steps:
- Navigate to the "Setup" tab.
- Select the "Organization" option.
- Click the "Edit Organization" button next to the organization you wish to modify.
- Update the information as needed:
- Organization: Select the organization under which this application belongs.
- App Code: Enter the unique identifier or short code for the application.
- App Name: Provide the full name of the application.
- App Owner: Enter the name of the technical owner responsible for the application.
- Business Owner: Enter the business stakeholder who oversees the application’s business use.
- App Class: Choose the application class.
